Darrell Kohler, age 71, passed suddenly and peacefully at his home in the early morning of December 24, 2018.
Funeral Services were held at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, TX on Friday, last month. Service was led by Pastor Mark Walker.
Darrell was born on August 8, 1947 to Allen and Doris Kohler in Houston, Texas. He was one of six children; Jerry Kohler, Noel Kohler, Ronnie Kohler, Beverly Weisinger and Ricky Kohler.
Darrell was a strong faithful Christian, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Everyone who knew Darrell understood his funny sense of humor as well as his dedication and willingness to help others succeed. He was admired and deeply loved by numerous friends and will be greatly missed by all.
In 1988 Darrell founded Lakeland Marketing in the food service industry. He loved to sell and being a part of the work team. He genuinely loved the people he worked with. With Darrell’s hard work and dedication to this business, his legacy will be carried on.
Darrell loved being outside and working on his land as well as spending time at their home in Angel Fire. Darrell loved traveling with Opal.
He is preceded in death by his parents Allen and Doris Kohler as well as his brother, Ricky Kohler.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 42 years, Opal Kohler; daughter Charlotte Moore and husband Danny of Jarrell, TX; son Bobby Cimrhanzel and wife Allison of McKinney, TX; daughter Dione Gilmore and husband William of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren: Devan, Collin, Shelby and Hannah Moore; Lane and Cole Cimrhanzel.
Darrell’s family and many friends will forever cherish his memory and he will be missed intensely.
