Fresco Hues Mugs

Brightly colored interiors echo Fresco Hues bowls

The legend of the Fresco line began with an idea: make the look and feel of studio pottery accessible to a wider audience. Homer Laughlin first collaborated with renowned potter John Britt to create Fresco, a full line of dinnerware with a unique matte-finish glaze in earthy tones that swirl and merge into patterns, creating one-of-a-kind pieces. Next came Fresco Hues—bowls in three sizes with a surprise of brilliant color on the inside and Fresco’s original natural tones on the outside. Now, the legend grows with the introduction of Fresco Hues mugs.

The four new mugs, all in the 14-oz. café size, are available with the same three vibrant interior colors as the bowls—robin’s egg blue, goldenrod, and lemongrass—plus the original Fresco inside and out.

With its distinctive, earthy terra-cotta look, Fresco impresses, delights, and inspires. Every piece is a work of art, and no two pieces are alike. Fresco Hues takes the line in a bold direction with the counterpoint of striking colored interiors in bowls and mugs, adding depth, dimension, and personality to the dining experience. Fresco and Fresco Hues are created with the latest in ceramic design and pottery engineering, combining strength and durability with the look and feel of handcrafted originals.

“The popularity of Fresco and Fresco Hues has exceeded all expectations,” said Katie Bricker, foodservice and general marketing manager for HLC. “Users of the ware are hungry for more, and we’re pleased to give it to them with the release of these mugs.”
