Tara Miranda Combines Culinary & Business

Miranda named Northeast Business Development Manager for national foodservice sales agency

Presenture LLC, a national foodservice sales agency, today announced that foodservice sales professional Tara Miranda, who has more than seven years of industry experience, joined the company as northeast region business development manager.

In this new role, Miranda manages business development for a territory that spans all of New England plus Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, New York and New Jersey. Her responsibilities include managing relationships with foodservice customers, distributors and brokers throughout Presenture’s northeast region.

Prior to joining Presenture, Miranda was the foodservice sales manager, New England, for Emmi Roth USA, a foodservice company dedicated to bringing award-winning specialty, artisan and cave-aged cheeses to the American consumer. Her responsibilities at Emmi Roth USA included managing a broker network as well as large-scale accounts and distributors in the New England area.

“I’ve found that every day is different in the foodservice world. My chef’s background has come in handy when working with chefs on new recipes and coming up with unique ideas for food products,” said Miranda. “On the business side, one of my greatest strengths is forging relationships with foodservice operators, brokers and distributors. In my position at Presenture, I’m excited to gain knowledge about other regional food trends and manage markets outside of New England.”

Miranda’s career path out of college actually began at a non-profit organization, where she worked in development and fund raising. However, she had always been interested in food, recipes and event planning, so after a few years she followed her passion and enrolled in the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts to become a professional chef.

After graduating with honors as a professional chef, Miranda combined her event planning and culinary skills to become an operator specialist at Advantage Waypoint, assisting the corporate chef by conducting product demonstrations, preparing menu concepts at events, and facilitating a wide range of meetings, trade shows, vendor fairs and training sessions. In this position, she began developing relationships with a wide range of foodservice customers, brokers and distributors.

Before her stint at Emmi Roth USA, Miranda was key account manager—healthcare specialist and regional chain manager for Acosta Sales & Marketing, where she managed more than 40 large-scale accounts. In addition to her professional chef degree, she also earned a bachelor of arts degree in educational studies from Trinity College in Connecticut.
