Ben E. Keith Foods Announces HR Leadership Transformation

To continue to meet the needs and expectations of its workforce and prospective employees in today’s rapidly-evolving workplace, the organization is redoubling its efforts to recruit, train, develop and empower its employees. As a result, Ben E. Keith Foods is expanding and realigning the roles of its Human Resources function.

  • Elliott Stephenson, Ph.D., who has served with distinction as Ben E. Keith Foods’ Vice President, Human Resources since 2005, is taking on a new role as Vice President, Employee Development and Engagement. In this capacity, Dr. Stephenson will lead the strategic development and execution of programs and services in the areas of Talent Management, Learning and Development, Employee Engagement, Organizational Culture, Diversity and Inclusion, and Workforce Development.

“Elliott is perfectly qualified for this critical new function, which will serve as the cornerstone of our ability to attract and retain today’s worker,” said Mike Sweet, President, Ben E. Keith Foods. “Elliott and his team will focus on our goal of investing upon and developing a fully-engaged and committed workforce across our enterprise – today and well into the future.”

Nationally recognized as an expert in the design and delivery of training and professional development programs, Dr. Stephenson has 39 years of experience in the development of employee systems for performance and productivity improvement. He holds a doctorate degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan.

  • Monica Martin joins Ben E. Keith Foods as Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Food Division. Working out of Corporate offices in Fort Worth, Ms. Martin will serve as the company’s primary HR business consultant, as well as the main point-of-contact for Food Division leaders. She reports to Mike Rowell, Vice President Human Resources, Ben E. Keith Company.

Ms. Martin has vast professional experience and proven capabilities in a wide range of HR functions. She will facilitate several key HR management roles in employee relations, compensation and HR policy guidance, change management and talent acquisition.
